The Internal Market for Goods
a cornerstone of Europe’s competitiveness
Public Consultation on three initiatives
by the European Commission intended to
enhance the Internal Market for Goods
Dear Sir/Madam,
The European Commission has proposed a broad number of measures to ensure a smoother functioning of the internal market for goods. This is intended to make it easier for companies, particularly SMEs, to market their products in the European Union while at the same time maintaining a high level of safety and quality. The common legal framework being proposed, that include two Regulations and a Decision, is being closely followed by the relevant national entities. However, such initiatives that shall affect business clearly require the participation of all stakeholders - members of the manufacturing, exporting and importing business community, retailers and consumer representatives being particularly indicated. It is in this context that Forum Malta fl-Ewropa and the Malta Standards Authority are holding an Information and Consultation Seminar entitled ‘The Internal Market for Goods: a cornerstone of Europe’s competitiveness’. The event is being held as follows:
Date: 27 March 2007
Time: 13.45 – 17.00 hrs
Venue: Arvid Pardo Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Valletta
Participation is free of charge however, in view of seating restrictions, registration is highly recommended.
